Associational Missions & Church Planting
| The purpose of the office is to enable associations, churches and leaders to do missions and ministry in their setting through the following services: |
Associational Development -- To promote associational missions, to assist each association to accomplish its mission, and to resource each director of associational missions.
Interpret associational missions
Discuss career missions opportunities in associational missions
Provide associational administration consultation and information
Train the Director of Missions Search Committee
Train the associational missions development council (missions committee)
Provide information about revising associational constitution/bylaws

Black Church Relations -- To actively engage in the ministry of reconciliation, to enhance fellowship and cooperative endeavors among Southern and National Baptists, and to work with these Baptists in seeking to evangelize and congregationalize their communities.
Provide race relations helps
Interpret multi-cultural models
Support church growth principles
Encourage African-American church starts
Foster cooperative ministries
Provide race relations conferences

Language Missions -- To assist associations and churches to establish and develop ministries, missions, and churches among language/cultural people.
Provide cross-cultural communications training
Provide consultation for starting new units of work
Assist with starting English language schools
Provide resources for new language congregations
Coordinate survey projects for starting new units

Long-Range Planning -- To assist associations to evaluate their setting and/or to develop long-range plans. To provide statistical resources: community demographic data, statistics, and religious facts.
Train associational strategy planning committees
Provide population/demographic information for custom areas, such as a 3-mile radius of a church
Provide a map showing the lifestyle distribution of people around a church
Assist with the preparation and compilation of surveys/questionnaires
Prepare 10-year church or associational statistics printout

Church and Community Ministry -- To assist associations and churches to minister to the whole person through meeting spiritual, physical, social, mental, and emotional needs of people.
Provide community needs assessment training
Provide consultation for planning and organizing community ministries
Provide literacy training: adult reading and writing, conversational English, tutoring children and youth
Provide resources for church-based nutrition programs
Provide training and consultations in resort and leisure ministries

Church Building Services -- To assist churches in their building survey, planning, construction, and financing processes. We want to help you build to enhance worship and ministry.

Provide church building consultations and conferences
